The Collin College 呼吸道护理 Program prepares individuals for an allied health specialty in the clinical care and management of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. 该项目为毕业生在德克萨斯州就业和获得执照做准备。 The goal of the program is to prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).

The Collin College 呼吸道护理 Program (Program #200376) awards an associate in applied science degree, in McKinney, Texas and is accredited by the 呼吸护理认可委员会.

Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented. Programmatic outcome data reported on the CoARC website include a 3-year time period reported on RRT credentialing success, achievement of the high cut score on the TMC exam, retention (attrition), job placement, overall graduate satisfaction, the total number of program enrollments, total number of program graduates, and maximum annual enrollment.

All Science classes must be completed within 5 years of the start date of the fall semester during the program admission year. HPRS 1204 must be taken within two years of the first day of class in the fall semester.

Respiratory therapists work with patients of all ages and can be employed in various healthcare settings. Graduates of the program are eligible for the National Board for 呼吸道护理 (NBRC), Therapist Multiple Choice Exam, and Clinical Simulation Exam.
